Zimbabwe Women's Proposed No Baths For Prevent HIV

Limited understanding of a problem can come up with a controversial solution. As in Zimbabwe, one politician proposed a ban on bathing for women to be unattractive in the eyes of men that do not transmit HIV.

An online media in Zimbabwe reported that the senator catapult Morgan Femai proposal in a health seminar. Not enough to ban bath, Femai also suggested that women head to Zimbabwe membotaki increasingly unattractive.

Reportedly, the senator Femai catapult this proposal at the opening of parliament workshop on awareness of HIV (Human Imunnodeficiency Virus) was inspired by a certain sect of Christianity that requires women to membotaki head.

"I hope the government would require women to membotaki head as that of the Apostolic sect. They should also be prohibited from bathing because that is the root of all problems," said Femai as quoted from Dailymail, Tuesday (12/05/2012).

The senator believes the root of the problem of transmission of HIV are women. According to him, the moisture that is in the female body is more vulnerable than transmitting the deadly virus so that the male body for women's bathing ban will reduce the risk of infection.

"Women have a higher humidity than in the male organ, so it should be investigated how the anticipation of the highly preferred liquid bacteria. There must be ways to fight humidity," said the senator Femai.

News of this gets pretty scathing comments from readers since it is incompatible with scientific facts and tend to marginalize women. Most readers rate, this proposal may be a lack of understanding of the senator about HIV itself.

"More than 30 years of our independence and the most educated people all over Africa, we have a representative as serious is this? We're really in trouble," commented one reader, Chiranda Mukuru.

Many studies have proven that HIV can be transmitted through direct contact of body fluids such as various types of blood to the sperm. Contact on the skin surface will not transmit HIV to ban bathing judged unrelated to HIV transmission.
